Governor Sarah Palin frightens me, on multiple levels. Aside from the fact that she has a resume lighter than most professional women I know, her politics are the polar opposite of mine. However, I’ll say this-if her politics matched mine and Senator Obama had picked her, I’d still be frightened. She is not ready to be the one standing next to the 72 year old John McCain when he keels over after one of his trademark explosive rages. She is not ready to be the one standing next to Barack Obama should he meet an early demise.
Her selection as the Vice-Presidential running mate is exciting on one level-it really does reinforce what mothers around the world tell their children everyday: This is America and anyone can grow up to be the president. (So kid, get out there and play basketball and don’t forget to join the PTA.)
I’m tired of Sarah being the focus of my other site, (www.tammyr2.wordpress.com) so this one is all Sarah all the time. It’s the only way I will stay sane for the next 60 days.
